It’s a new year, it’s a new day, it’s a new start to your healthy journey!
Sounds about right, correct?
Many times, the beginning of the year rolls around and I see so many people ready to jump on the next detox train.
Having really good reasons to detox is key. Once you are really sure about the reason behind detoxing, such as feeling fatigued or coming down with frequent colds, then comes the ‘how’.
The best part about detoxing is you can do it right in the comfort of your own home. In this blog post, I listed 11 easy ways you can detox at home. One of those reasons is to cut back on processed foods.
Processed foods are filled with toxins and if you eat a lot of processed foods chances are your body could use a small break like a detox. Our bodies naturally detox by themselves, but with an overload of toxins sometimes they just need a push. That’s where things like diet and exercise come in.
Cutting down on processed foods is not hard to do, you just have to start incorporating better real & whole food choices into your diet. This way you are naturally supporting your body on a regular basis and not just during a sporadic ‘I-need-to-do-a-detox’ moment.
I have listed 30 real foods to help your body naturally detox itself right at home:
- grapes
- garlic
- orange
- beets
- wheatgrass
- tomatoes
- blackberries
- amaranth
- kiwi
- artichoke
- turmeric
- cabbage
- plums

What’s your favorite healing food to eat?
From this list I would say okra. I’ve recently discovered raw okra is amazing.
I’ve had okra before, but never raw…..might have to check that out!
I bought the book 150 Healthiest Foods on Earth and I will never look at fruits and vegetables the same again. It’s like we have all these magical healing and disease-fighting properties at our fingertips!!!
I know right? The right foods can be the best medicine!
