Something just occurred to me recently. I haven’t spoken about Crohn’s lately.
I have mentioned before that sometimes I kind of forget I have it. I take that for granted. As I think back to the days of my last flare up, I am thankful for where I am right now.
But, with that said, there are foods that I am still conscious of eating to aid in staying this way.
I came up with a list of 25 foods that can help with not only Crohn’s, but also ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, and overall digestion issues.
These foods are good choices because they can act as a probiotic and work on healing the gut, they have a good fiber content and act as a lubricant on the digestive tract, or they have anti-inflammatory properties that help prevent inflammation of the digestive tract.
So, here’s to 25 healing foods (that includes, plants, foods, herbs, and spices) for all things digestion:
- chlorella
- spirulina
- aloe vera
- barley
- mangoes
- corn
- basil
- peas
- pepper
- pineapple
- mushrooms
- cucumbers
- buckwheat
- yogurt
- watercress
- ginger
- rye
- fenugreek
- soy sauce
- miso
- sauerkraut
- mint
- artichoke
- honey
- wheatgrass
Do you have any digestion issues? What foods do you find helpful for your condition?
