With school starting back I know you want to make sure your kids get all the nutrition they need to keep them alert throughout the day.
My kids bring their lunches so we go through a lot of food in the house. Every once in a while they are allowed to buy their lunch, but 95% of the time they bring it.
We all want our kids to be attentive and alert, especially in the afternoon.
And parents, these foods can also give your brain a boost while at work, you know when you’re feeling not so awake those few hours after lunch – you know what I’m talking about.
The best thing is you may find you already eat some of these foods. Check out the list below to see your favorites or discover new ones!

What’s your kids favorite brain power food?
Hi Serena… Great advice for sending in lunch – But we used to have to fight the school because I made the mistake of telling them my daughter needed to eat Gluten & Casein Free. They wanted a doctors note. Of course I could have sent in pop-tarts & cola everyday & they would have had zero problem with that I’m sure! I have a daughter with Autism so dietary intervention & brain boosting foods is so important in my house! One note here though on the eggs… Ones with runny yolks are even better. But many kids won’t eat them like that. Thanks for the excellent list!
Thank you for sharing this helpful list of brain-boosting foods! As a parent, I’m always looking for ways to ensure my children are getting the nutrition they need to thrive. I’m excited to try incorporating more of these foods into their meals and snacks.
I was happy to see that many of the foods on this list are already staples in our family’s diet, like berries, eggs, and yogurt. It’s reassuring to know that we’re on the right track when it comes to fueling our brains and bodies.
