Want a nice and tasty protein smoothie that you can drink prior to your workout (or anytime of day for that matter)? And let’s just take it a step further shall we and add some chocolate to it, ok?
I bet you do now! Well, how about this one? I made this smoothie yesterday and it was soooo good!
Not only is it made with chocolate, you can enjoy 4 types of seeds as well: sesame, chia, sunflower, and flax.
And if you choose to, feel free to add in 2 cups of your favorite green veggies to green it up!
This recipe makes 1 serving.
What you’ll need:
- 1/2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1/2 tbsp sunflower seeds (no shells)
- 1/2 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/2 tbsp flax seeds
- 1 tbsp organic or natural peanut butter
- 1 tbsp raw cacao powder
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1 banana
Combine all ingredients in a blender or magic bullet – blend until smooth. Enjoy!
Want more chocolate? Pour in some chocolate syrup! Mix 1 tablespoon of raw cacao powder with 1 tablespoon of coconut oil in a bowl. Drizzle into your smoothie!
Want to make it green? Just add 2 cups of your favorite green veggies (you won’t even notice). This will add even more protein & additional nutrition to the estimations below. The choice is yours!
