I still can’t believe I did this!
My first mud race!
I am sooo not an obstacle course, mud person.
But, I just completed the Mudderella – a 5+ mile obstacle mud run created for women, by women.
Men are free to join as well, but must be invited by a woman (that’s right). These runs are held in a bunch of locations. The one I just did was at Raceway Park in Englishtown, New Jersey.
My friend had to convince me in soooo many ways to join her for this race.
I didn’t need convincing so much because of the mud. It was because of the unknown, the course obstacles, the course length, you name it.
But, you know what? I’m so glad I accepted her invite and joined her.
I had so much fun! So many people, friends, couples, and families, of all sizes, sticking together through the race and helping each other get over the obstacles. It was great. This race is all about teamwork and teaches you that anyone can do this.
And I made some new friends!
This was my first mud race and perhaps it won’t be my last!
Have you ever done a mud race? Which one and did you like it?
